What isMy Secret Bistroand (more importantly) why is it such a secret?

The short answer is, “My Secret Bistro” is a fun, addicting mobile game that you’re probably embarrassed to tell your friends and family that you play. And if that’s the case, I’d be mortified if my boyfriend ever found out I’ve gone and made a blog about it.

Here’s the long answer. If you’ve ever played any of those bakery/restaurant/food service games, you’re possibly looking for something with a fresh new feel, more features, a better community and awesome decor that doesn’t have you reaching for your wallet. And don’t you want an actual story from a “Story” game?
Voila! “My Secret Bistro” is similar to one of those foodie games, crossed with a wacky, drama-filled rendition of an old story book collection. Just when you thought you knew the tale of Snow White... well, let’s just say we should keep her from obtaining a whip and shackles (or should we??).
In the game, you assume the role as the new head chef at “My Secret Bistro”, recruited by head manager, Benny. Benny guides you through setting up the Bistro and tasks you with various goals while you cater (food pun) to a host of interesting characters. These characters also have missions for you to fulfill which progresses the story, unlocks more characters, recipes, etc while boosting your player level. All these rewards add up and you can exchange your earnings for cool stuff.
“My Secret Bistro” has a stylish anime design. The game is produced by Flero, a South Korean game developer, which sometimes means there’s a typo/misspelling here and there in the english version (my favorite is “touch to screen”), but it’s actually quite fun. If you aren’t familiar with some Asian culture there might be one or two things lost in translation for you, but overall the playability is great and I haven’t had any trouble following along. Though I did have to google what bindae-tteok was...

So what’s up with the whole “Secret” thing?
Arguably, one could say the real Secret is translating the game instructions, which is mostly why I’ve created this blog/game guide, but just how deep does the rabbit hole go?
You begin the game as a sad little person operating a lowly ramen cart with no customers in sight. As your eyes close and crushing depression drags you further and further into the deep, dark abyss, you awake with a startle inside a dark, claustrophobic little room full of spiders and spooky ghost noises. No, this isn’t a featured Halloween app for the month of October- it’s the premise to the story, letting you know that things aren’t always what they seem in this strange new world.

What have I uncovered? You’ll have to keep reading and follow along as I make more findings. What will you discover? There’s only one way to find out...
